The KCM Team

Edwina King

Managing Director and Principal Migration Consultant

Edwina is a leader in her field of expertise. She is a firm believer that knowledge is power and has never stopped educating herself and the team to enable them to excel.

Commencing with a Bachelor’s degree in Maths and Economics in Ireland and transferring to a degree in Psychology, Edwina has developed a very unique and rare ability to problem solve and view situations not only from a legal perspective but from a business and psychological perspective allowing her to develop unique strategies and simple solutions for complex problems.

Edwina moved to Australia in 2012 and was immediately drawn to the migration industry, seeing firsthand the huge impact it had on friends and family. Commencing her career ten years ago in skills assessment services, particularly in construction, engineering, mining, and trade sectors, Edwina developed advanced knowledge of these occupations and operations and found her passion in skilled, employer nominated, and business visas.

Advancing to a Case Manager role, Edwina aptly managed a large visa caseload of over 100 cases at any one time refining her planning and organisation skills to ensure deadlines were met. This allowed her to gain vast experience across a wide range of visa matters and develop high-level technical knowledge.

Despite gaining significant practical expertise and constantly reviewing case law, policy changes, and legislation, after completing her post-grad in Australian Migration Law at the Australian National University with a high distinction, Edwina almost lost her chance to become a Migration Agent and her registration was significantly delayed when her own permanent residency was refused through no fault of her own.

Not one to shy away from a challenge, this propelled Edwina to fight harder for her chosen career and home in Australia and she began work in a Specialist Immigration Law firm. Edwina excelled in finding solutions for complex problems and loved researching new policies and strategies on high-level cases.

In 2018, Edwina created King Corporate Migration with a vision to help those in situations like hers and assist companies in securing skilled workers from overseas. Keen not to be a “Jack of All Trades and Master of none”, Edwina has found her niche and is regarded as an expert by peers and clients alike in the services she provides.

Edwina is now in the final semester of her Australian law degree and is already using her legal knowledge in contract law to offer high-level services in securing labour agreements for corporate clients.

After 10 years in the industry, Edwina has now built a solid and highly skilled team, who she is focused on training and passing on her expertise and unique technical knowledge to.
